Myanmar religious association objected as lack of consultation

The Association of Care for All Religions was not approved by the local authority in Shan State and posted it in its website on May 24, said news report from Eleven Media.

The Norwegian People Aid and Yadanamyay Social Development Association (Yangon) have joined together to perform seminar workshops to consolidate all religions and to stop all kinds of hostilities in places such as Lashio, Aungban, Taunggyi and Kalaw from April to July.

Last May 8, the consolidation workshop of all religions and prevention against riots was held in Taunggyi.

The two associations are composed of 20 members with the inclusion of religious leaders. The group applied for its development to the government of Shan State and they were given the authority carry a well organized undertaking.

The very reason why the government of Shan After did not approved of the formation of Association of Care for All Religions with local religious leaders because the creation of the association was not included in the original plan presented to the government, the report said.
