The peace negotiation between the Karinni National Progressive Party (KNPP) spearheaded by Vice Chairman KhuYal
and Myanmar central government headed by Aung Min who is Minister at the President's Office and Vice Chairman of the Central Peace Making Work Committee has just finished its second day second round peace pact and ended in Loikaw, Kayah state on Thursday, Xinhua news reported.
During their meeting, they have established an 8 point agreement. This includes the participation of both parties to work hard on nationwide ceasefire treaty and all-inclusive political dialogue.
They also approved the continuation of military affairs discussions and to create a joint monitoring committee.
The new major projects to be implemented in Kayah state including New Village Project will give the social organizations and the public the opportunity to observe and transparency, responsibility and accountability should be displayed at all times making certain that local people do not undergo losses.
Both parties agreed to help clear landmines in places where relocation sites will be used by internally displaced persons (IDP) and in a project in Dawtakhe, Shadaw Township for resettlement of IDPs.
Regional development will be undertaken by technical teams to be formed by the two parties, the report said.
