President Thein Sein vows a tough response to religious extremists

President Thein Sein disclosed that he will make the necessary and tough action regarding the unrest that involved the Buddhist and Muslim in central Myanmar that brought killings and damaged to properties, said news report from AFP.

He further disclosed during a national address that his government will take all the necessary precaution in handling this incident to the point of using force if necessary.

President Thein Sein issued warnings to all political opportunists and religious extremist who used this incident for their own benefit and such misdoings will not be tolerated.

Moreover, using force will be his last resort in order to secure the lives of the people as well as to protect their properties. Anyone who will be caught will be punished in accordance of the law.

According to President Thein Sein, these unrests are initiated by perpetrators who spread religious rioting all over the country. People must not believe in these rumors because this will lead to conflicts and clashes among the people, the report said.

However, he said that conflicts and problems are normal in a situation where the government is under a democratic transformation. It is therefore important to have the strength and courage in implementing this reforms and be proud in all the development the country is reaping, he said.
