Golden Fresh Land to publish daily newspapers

A newspaper in Myanmar was given the go signal by the authorities to publish every day since it has received its license to operate. The main target for the publication will be on the first week of April, said news report from Myanmar Times.

Publisher MaungMaungHla who is the owner of the Golden Fresh Land disclosed that a copy of the daily cost K155. Aside from this he also own eight journals. The printing will be done in Yangon with fifty people working for the daily. The newspaper will contain 10 colour pages out of the 20 pages. Other extra pages will be made available if the need arises.

According to Myint Kyaw, a journalist with the paper revealed that there will be some problems with regards the distribution of the newspaper all over the country since not all people will have the means to get a copy every day, the report said.

A sample edition of a daily newspaper known as The Union (Pyidaungsu) was published by the majority Union Solidarity and Development Party and was given for free to the parliament in Nay Pyi Taw last March 18.
