Lt-Gen Yawdserk who spearheads the delegates of RCSS met with Shan civil society organizations in Mandalay after a trip to northern Shan State’s Kyaukme. They were welcomed by a group of 300 people, SHAN news reported.
According to Maj. Lao Hseng, Lt-Gen Yawdserk shared their trips to the people, talked about the current political situation in the country, the ongoing discussion with the government in which problem is needed to be solved, and the promise to work hard and cooperate with the people of Shan State for the peace process.
Different topics such as federal union state building, matters concerning peace building and the amending of the 2008 Constitution were discussed during the meeting in Mandalay Shan Cultural Society building.
Representatives of northern Shan cities including Hsipaw, Lashio, Hsenwi and Namkham in which over 1,000 people had come to meet the delegates in Kyaukme, the group decided not to tour all those cities, but will definitely visit Taunggyi, the capital of Shan State instead, SHAN report said.
