According to National police spokesperson Brig. Gen. Boy Rafli Amar, the suspect named SigitIndrajit was captured last Wednesday night in northern Jakarta believing that he is the man behind the foiled attack, AP news reported.
The second suspect only known as Rohadi was taken into police custody early Thursday from his home in Tangerang in neighboring Banten province. Explosive substances such as black powder, sulphur powder and iron pipe were recovered by the police at his residence.
Five homemade bombs carried by two suspected militants in a backpack were taken by police early this month in Jakarta. A reliable source tipped their whereabouts to police authorities, the reason why they were caught.
The suspects when interviewed by the authorities they said that they want to strike back against the government of Myanmar in defend for the continuous attacks on Muslim Rohingyas in Myanmar, the report said.
