Suu Kyi’s participation at the Armed Forces Day parade in the capital Naypyidaw came as the military forces acknowledged its role in national politics for the benefit of the nation and its populace, SAPA news reported.
Her relationship with the army has been carefully observed as the election of 2015 is nearing where she has plans to run for a higher position. Joining in the military parade was seen as an indication that her ties with the generals who were responsible for her house arrest are starting to build up.
His father, the late Aung San who is also known as the Independence hero of the country has created the army and fought against the colonial rule of Britain.
Last January, the democratic leader disclosed that she is still fond of the Burmese army even though they have committed long repetitious acts of human rights abuses and violations on ethnic minority groups and involvement in rape cases and human torture in the northern state of Kachin, the report said.
