The All Myanmar Islam Association issued a statement last Tuesday that the recent violence that hit Myanmar is not a fight between the Muslims and Buddhists but is purposely organized by a certain group of perpetrators, said news report from Eleven Media.

Though the people of the association did not mention the names of the perpetrators, they have claimed the six point statement that the religious issue has been blown out of proportion and was used as the main issue of the violence. These are the works of irresponsible people who want to create unrest so that peace and security in the area will not be maintained.

Authorities were blamed for these unfortunate events for the reason that they handled the riots in a very poor manner that led to the death of unsuspecting Muslim residents and also their properties were damaged.

Moreover, they also urged the government to take proper action in accordance with the law against the perpetrators, be it an organization or group of people that were responsible for the violence, the report said.

On the other hand, The Islam Association expressed thanks and acknowledgement to the monks, Hindus, Christians and Buddhist lay people who helped and assisted Muslim people during the crisis without showing discrimination.
