In the next succeeding months, 10 training sessions in 10 various communities will be handled by the trainers. The 400 teachers as participants in the training session will provide schooling for thousands of kids. This is a great contribution the 13 graduating students can impart in terms of education.
Partners Relief and Development's Sustainable Schools program will involved the presence and participation of teachers. This program began in year 2009 and from then on hundreds of teachers were trained under this program.
This year, Partners is working with RDFSS (Rural Development Foundation of Shan State) to give sustainable alternatives for schooling in the area. The scarcity of schools in the area has a great impact to parents whose children cannot attend schooling. Almost all of the communities do not have funds to pay the teachers or to pay for the expenses incurred for schooling.
Field workers with Partners found 47 various communities and came out with an income generating development project in each of these communities. Projects in these communities will include fish farms, maize plantations, community shops, pig farms and other context-specific ideas.
The main objective is to create projects that are sustainable and that the community will stand on their own to manage and fund these projects, the report said.
With the help of these sustainable schools, it is expected that more and more children will be able to go to school. Praises and Glory to God the Father for these 13 graduated Shan students who are eager to contribute and share whatever knowledge they have and also with their skills to these needy children.
