RCSS/SSA leader Lt-Gen Yawdserk meets President Thein Sein in Naypyitaw

The Shan State Restoration Council/Shan State Army (RCSS/SSA) will meet President Thein Sein this June 10, 2013, said news report from SHAN.

According to one of the Shan delegates, Lt-Gen Yawdserk will meet President Thein Sein and will talk about the 17 points that were counselled with the Civil Society Organizations a week ago in Chiang Mai.

Lt-Gen Yawdserk who spearheaded the 20-member Shan delegation, left for Naypyitaw from Tachileik yesterday. When the group arrived in Naypyitaw, U Aung Min, Vice-Chairman of the Union Peacemaking Working Committee (UPWC), welcomed the Shan delegates with dinner.

The Shan delegates are also set to meet with representatives and leaders of CSO organizations as well as with foreign diplomats after their special meeting with the President, the report said.
