Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe will be visiting Burma for three days. This is the first visit of a Japanese leader to Burma in 36 years. AP news reported.
It is expected that the government of Japan will support the different reforms in Burma after going through many years of military ruling.
Abe will arrive in Yangon Friday evening together with delegates of business leaders and by Sunday President Thein Sein will meet the group in Naypyitaw.
About 35 Japanese investment projects are under way in Burma, including plans to develop a 2,400 hectare (5,900 acre) special economic zone near the capital that is being led by Sumitomo Corp., Marubeni Corp. and Mitsubishi Corp., the report said.
