Burmese military forces has further strengthened its troops in areas where it is controlled by Shan State Progress Party/Shan State Army (SSPP/SSA) and Kachin Independent Army (KIA), said news report from SHAN.
According to SaiMaung from Mongzang sub-township, Burmese army consisting of three battalions around 200-strong is headed by Military Operation Command 2 based in Mongnawng have been moving towards Monghsu from Mongzang.
In Kachin State, KIA battalions based in northern Shan State have been at war with the Burmese army and it took the military forces to reinforce its troops.
Hundreds of people are forced to leave their homes because of these ongoing hostilities between the ethnic armed groups and the military forces in the northern Shan State. These people also think of the security of their families thus leaving their villages is their last resort, the report said.
