Myanmar army head deny military offensive in Shan and Kachin states

According to Myanmar's Ministry of Defence spearheaded by Lieutenant General Myint Soe, all the accusations that the military forces has been conducting military operations in Shan State (North) and Kachin State that started at the end of February and early March were baseless and not true at all, said news report from Eleven Media.

He further disclosed that the Burmese army are just performing their jobs particular for troop's withdrawal and arrivals of new ones and they know how to value their promises.

Commander Brigadier General Tun Tun Naung of the northern command seconded the statement of Myint Soe adding that there was no incident of military activities in those areas since he is in charge of supervising the duties of the army.

He was surprised on where the reports are coming from. Recently they have provided supplies of food for the army in that place since it is the open season now, the report said.
